Westerville Branch, AAUW Cheese Sale

The Westerville Branch of the American Association of University Women is once again selling Amish cheese and fudge this fall. Our branch provides some financial support for a girl from each of Westerville’s middle schools to attend BeWise Camp, a science and math camp. The cheese is hormone & pesticide free. Twelve ounce blocks are $6.00. Two pound blocks are $6.00 per pound. Fudge is available in 1 pound blocks and is $15.50 per pound. Our cheese sale coordinator is Dorothy Pilcher, 165 Mainsail, Westerville, OH, 43081, Phone 614-895-3919. Orders should be emailed or mailed to Dstuff@yahoo.com on or before Oct. 11th, 2021. Cheese orders may be picked up between Nov. 6th and 11th.

September 2021 Meeting

September 9th, 2021 Meeting time 6:00 PM

The Westerville Branch of the American Association of University Women kicked off their fall meeting outdoors at the Atrium Shelter at Heritage Park, Westerville. Laurie Shepherd and Debra Ubry prepared and demonstrated how to arrange several charcuterie boards using cheeses the branch members will begin selling this fall. Cheese & fudge order forms were sent out in advance of the meeting. Cheese orders are due October 11 and cheese can be picked up from November 6th through the 11th. A short business meeting followed and membership booklets were distributed.

2021 AAUW Westerville Branch Scholarship Announcements

The Westerville Branch of the American Association of University Women has announced their 2021 scholarship winners. Each year the Westerville Branch gives a scholarship to senior young women who are graduating from the three Westerville high schools. One girls from each high school is selected. The winners are:

Ashley Harris, from Westerville Central High School, plans to attend Ohio University, majoring in criminology, with a goal to be a police detective. She is being congratulated by Linda Glaviano, Westerville Branch President.

Jade Sherman, from Westerville South High School, plans to attend the University of Toledo, majoring in psychology to help people with addiction and children in need. She is being congratulated by Laurie Shepherd, a new AAUW member.

Camryn M. Ford, from Westerville North High School, plans to attend Ohio State University, majoring in biology and zoology. She plans a life sciences career. She is being congratulated by Laurie Shepherd, a new AAUW member.

May 2021 Meeting

May 6th, 2021 (Meeting changed to 1st Thursday) 6:30 PM

Scholarship Banquet at Polaris Grill, has been changed to a zoom meeting.

We will be meeting with at least one or two of the scholarship recipients. Please try to attend. We want these women to feel that they have our support both now and in the future.

There will be a brief business meeting afterward.
